Itinerary idea in details

Day 1 and 2
Kathmandu

Accommodation: Dwarika’s HotelThe medieval persona of Nepal that once delineated Nepal from the rest is now put on a jolt of the contemporary, impressions of which have made the country highly pictorial. Quite a statement for its capital city, Kathmandu, which breathes in the amazing commotion of timeless heritage, culture, chaotic modernity and the addictive Himalayan thrill. Sights as such will catch your fancy, moments from leaving Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport.

Kathmandu, despite being a Hindu dominated Himalayan Kingdom, is also under the gape of the Great Buddha and hence, a visit to renowned temples – like Syambunath, Boudhanath and Pashupatinath, architectures of which are an exquisite blend of Hinduism and Buddhism, will be the first in our schedule.

Just a couple of kilometers away from these religious hotspots is the vibrant Thamel street, where fascinations and surprises hide at every nook and corner. Settle with a good coffee or bar at one of the many predominantly colored brick walled cafes.

Evenings are all about relaxation and hence, treat yourself to the signature Himalayan Spa at the hotel.

Day 3, 4 and 5
Pokhara and Annapurna

Accommodation: Tiger Mountains Pokhara LodgeAn early morning flight from Kathmandu will transfer you to a world of endless spectacular scenery, laid-back charm and booming adventure. Wait till you get settled in the comforts of the hotel; before you move on to explore the natural highs through short hikes in the vicinity. The surrounding Annapurnas account for some of the most breathtaking sights of the Himalayas and hence, savor a glass of wine on large open terrace of the hotel, facing the warmth of the setting sun and the cool of the encircling breeze. Next morning, trek towards one of the most diverse and popular off-beat region - The Annapurana Circuit.

Having said that, you will be visiting local villages set atop a ridge; the journey of which also offers an exhilarating bird-watching experience. Once up the hills, relax your senses through yoga and meditation in the privacy of your verandah, or simply go for a nice swim in the infinity pool of your lodge; probably the highest artificial pool in Nepal, overlooking the gurgling Bijaypur stream falling down from the neck of majestic mountains.

Day 6, 7 and 8
Terai Plains, Rural Nepal Exploration & Wildlife encounters

Accommodation: Tiger Tops Jungle LodgeNestled in the southern foothills of the Himalayas, Terai is a narrow strip of marshes and swamplands, the likes of which are the gateways of some of the most famous national parks – Chitwan and Bardia. Keen bird watchers will have a field day escorted by the lodge’s skilled naturalists. Identify different species of grassland, farmland forest and aquatic birds abundant in the Terai.

But wait, the real fun is just around the corner – the majestic tiger hiding in the bush, tiptoeing its way to its prey at some distance. Fear not, for you are the audience, sitting comfortably high on top of an elephant. Rhino, sloth bear and leopard are often seen in the forest and scrubland around the lodge. Civet cats and other smaller mammals are regularly sighted in the lodge gardens and fruit trees. For today, this gentle giant would be your vehicle today, ferrying you across different villages and community forests.

Day 9 and 10
Kathmandu Exploration

Accommodation: Dwarika’s HotelBegin with and end with the same! You would be escorted back to Kathmandu in your final days of the tour. Dedicate this time exploring the heritage and history of Kathmandu. Start with visiting the Palace Museum to gain insight into the royal massacre, or visit to Durbar Square to see the remnants of the old Nepalese kingdom. Dinner can be arranged at the beautifully refurbished Royal Stables, home to boutique stores and the fine French restaurant, Chez Caroline. Besides, feel free to explore the local markets on your own in the evening, or if you like, spend your time at leisure in the comforts of Dwarika’s.
